Paulig is now seeking a Packaging Developer for Santa Maria spices and Risenta packaging. Are you passionate about innovative packaging solutions and sustainability? About the position

Your main responsibility will be developing and testing spice Santa Maria and Risenta packaging and leading development projects for new and existing packages. You are also part of product development projects where packaging is included. You will actively follow development and trends of new packaging materials and techniques, give input on category trend analysis for packages in scope to enable innovation, and create sustainable packaging solutions in accordance with the approved portfolio roadmaps.

You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and your most valuable contacts are R&D team, Brand and Portfolio team, OOH marketing, Packaging sourcing, Production and Quality as well as packaging suppliers.

What you will do

• Responsible for making sure that the primary and secondary packages are developed according to the portfolio roadmaps and our sustainability targets
• Responsible for continuously improve existing packaging offer by reviewing solutions and packaging processes regarding functionality, quality and cost efficiency.
• Active involvement at our production sites in improvement projects and supporting in problem solving
• Perform and optimize method development for packaging testing.
• Presentation of concepts, packages and technology in internal projects and training.
• Secure correct packaging related data and manage required changes in ERP and PLM data system.

You will be based in Mölndal and report to the Head of R&D, Packaging, and be part of a dynamic team.

Your profile

You would be a great fit if your background and experience would look like this:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher education in food or packaging technology, or similar
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food or packaging industry
• Strong interest in learning new and developing oneself
• Strong co-operation and communication skills
• Goal oriented, flexible and initiative mindset
• Happy to work with packaging data management
• Customer and consumer minded, responsible for usability evaluation
• Can manage several projects at the same time
• Communicate fluently both in English and Swedish
