Senior Data Engineer to BROCC

You will work at the heart of a high-performing, innovative fintech company, in a small, senior and T-shaped team. This role combines hands-on technical work with strategic influence, giving you the opportunity to design scalable, future-proof data solutions while building a strong data culture across the organization.
Work Description
As Senior Data Engineer at Brocc, you will:
Work with modern tech stack (snowflake, DBT, airflow, fivetran, AWS, kubernetes)in a broad role and collaborative environment, optimizing performance, scalability, and reliability across the data value chain, from raw ingestion to finished insights.
Design, implement and maintain end-to-end ELT processes, develop clear and well-documented transformations and build business-critical data models to serve as the single source of truth.
Collaborate with teams across finance, risk, operations and product to turn data needs into scalable, practical solutions. You will enable self-service analytics by providing well-structured datasets, documentation and shared definitions.
Contribute to building a strong data culture with common standards and best practices and ensure high data quality, traceability, and consistent use of KPIs and metrics across the business.
Be an integral part of a small, senior data team and take end-to-end responsibility of architecture, standards, and best practices, while remaining hands-on in implementation.
Continuously identify opportunities to increase automation, efficiency, and performance.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with:
Several years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, and BI development.
A deep technical expertise combined with broad understanding of how data, technology, and business interconnect.
Strong SQL skills and several years of experience with dimensional and relational data modeling.
A deep understanding of data orchestration, ingestion and transformation, and related tools.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse or Databricks).
A self-motivated and solution-oriented contributor, with a structured approach who shares knowledge and lifts both team and across the business.
The ability to translate complex data concepts into clear insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.’
It is a strong plus with experience from regulated industries (fintech, banking, financial services) and an understanding of compliance and regulatory reporting.
