Role Description

As a Senior Test Engineer at Euroclear Sweden, you will play a key role in ensuring stable, secure, and high-quality deliveries in a complex and business-critical IT environment. You will work closely with business analysts, IT architects, project managers, business stakeholders, and external vendors. Together you will decide which tests should be performed, when they should be executed, and how quality can best be ensured throughout the development process.

You will contribute to several initiatives in parallel and actively ensure that deliveries meet the highest standards from both a technical and business perspective.

The role is broad and varied. You move comfortably between strategy and detail, between business and IT, always maintaining a clear testing perspective. You review and analyze requirements, plan and lead testing activities, and ensure that objectives, timelines, and quality standards are met.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining test plans

• Specifying and designing test cases

• Executing tests and supporting others in their testing activities

• Leading and coordinating test efforts

• Prioritizing and communicating test activities and dependencies

• Ensuring quality during release management

• Documenting test results and deviations

• Analyzing, evaluating, and reporting test outcomes

• Communicating status, risks, and recommended actions, both operationally and strategically

• Identifying and driving improvements in testing and quality assurance

An important part of the role is also to continuously develop and optimize test processes, strategies, and tools. You will actively contribute to increasing the level of test automation and identify smarter ways of working to strengthen delivery quality.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree, for example in computer science, information systems, or a related field, and several years of experience in system testing, including at least five years in a test lead role.

You are confident in your expertise and used to taking overall responsibility for quality in complex IT deliveries.

As a Test Engineer, you have:

• Deep knowledge of the entire testing process, including test methods and strategies

• Experience working with test data, test environments, test techniques, and test automation

• Ability to plan, lead, and execute testing in complex integration environments

• Experience evaluating, improving, and maintaining test processes and governance documentation

• Good understanding of systems with high requirements for security, stability, and performance

• Experience communicating with stakeholders regarding quality, risks, and test status

• Experience with defect management

• Experience with acceptance testing, system testing, integration testing, and migration testing

• Good knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps and SharePoint

• Experience working in large and complex projects, release management, or transformation initiatives

• Experience managing and following up on external vendors

You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Experience from the banking or financial sector is considered a plus, as well as ISTQB certification.
